book monolopy logoYour Book Monopoly Part three, is the all-important book business and marketing plan. Yes, the one that most of us skip over and never do and then wonder why our publishing project didn’t work out. To complement the plan, she gives you a resource link for a comprehensive listing to work with and market to.

When it comes to playing alongside the major league players she gives you the how-to instructions and offers some cautionary information to prevent mistakes along the way. I am extremely impressed that she also cuts through the large amount of choices you would have to make at this point. She takes you directly to the best, based on popularity and depth of offerings. This one bit of information will provide you with one call marketing.

Rachel reviews the five (5) things you need to move forward and adds a sixth item for you – Sales. For additional information on how to sell your book she offers two additional links for online courses (both are her courses) if you need them. From there she moves to the different types of venders you will be working with.

You will find great advice on marketing to this class of vendor, plus insider tips. As a bonus you will find a downloadable template for a much needed document and detailed instructions on how to market with it. Don’t even think about saying time is an issue.  She has you covered with a couple of resources that can help.

If you are not ready for the option above, she also gives you another option that gets back to the basics, face-to-face marketing – using the marketing skills previously learned in this section.

This is NOT a do-it-once and forget plan. You will be scheduling your marketing efforts for every six to eight weeks. Of course, by then you will hopefully have your newest book preview copy to take along and market. I told you right off – you need to think big!
